The Opportunity

Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Millwright Foreperson will be responsible for providing full cycle, in depth knowledge and support for the profession of Millwright to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc.
achieves their general and specific project objectives.
What you'll do here :
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Operate rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimetre tolerance)
- Align and test equipment and adjust
- Perform preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts
- Trouble-shoot hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls
- Tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement part.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients. Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards
- Assist maintenance in scheduling equipment preventative maintenance or repair
- Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement
- Lead and mentor employees in safe work practice and knowledge
- Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding project’s progress, risks, and forecasts
- Immediately correct any hazardous, unproductive, or high-risk situations and report any conditions that aren’t correctable to Supervisor
What you bring to the team :
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Millwright Foreperson
- The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity
- Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds
- The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately
- The ability to get along well with others on a work team
- Must be willing to work in remote job locations
- Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site

This role is located near Moosejaw, SK. Project runs on a 10 / 4 rotation, 10 hour days. LOA and travel allowance provided.
