SHOP LABOURER

Summary :

Established in 1989, AFD Petroleum is an independent supplier of bulk fuel, lubricants, and on-site storage tanks and systems to customers across western Canada and Alaska.

Our Nisku Tanks Division manages tanks from 1000L to 80,000L with setups unique to every customer.

Reporting to the Service Manager the Yard Person / General Laborer will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and keeping a well-organized and maintained yard and shop area by performing general building and property maintenance, shop upkeep, and equipment operation.

New employees can learn on the job and safety training is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist customers with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, Loader.
• Operate Winch truck to move tanks / containers in / out of shop.
• Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds.
• Regular repairs and maintenance of the fuel tanks and equipment coming into the shop.
• General labor items like painting, decal removal, fuel transfers and cleaning.

Your Schedule :

Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday schedule, 8AM-5PM, occasional overtime.

Required Experience / Skills / Education :

• Mechanically inclined person who enjoys a variety of tasks and is willing to learn.
• 3+ years’ experience in a shop / field or mechanical environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clean Driving record
• Professional Attitude
• This is a physical job, so you must be able to lift / move up to 50 pounds.
