Job Description
Key Accountabilities :
- Work to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency by performing various analysis of production processes and operational procedures.
- Implement lean manufacturing measures for continuous improvement of production processes including increased Quality, Capacity, and Profit margins
- Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes including estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.
- Coordinate with R&D concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. He / she analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and work space for maximum efficiency.
- Participate in New Product Development with product trials, modification, and quoting
Ideal Requirements
Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or engineering / technical related field
Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Proven track record of success in in an automotive manufacturing environment. Tier 1 automotive operations experience ideal.
- Excellent analytical ability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Well-rounded understanding of core engineering principles & design methods.
