Senior Business Analyst to support multiple initiatives planned under Application and Cloud Security portfolio using Jira / Confluence with one of our major banking clients-
Location Address : Hybrid Toronto 2 days / week (Tuesdays / Thursdays and on ad hoc basis as required)
Contract Duration : 6 months (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule Hours : 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs / week
Story Behind the Need
- Business group : Cloud Acceleration Program support AppSec and CloudSec space mandate around consolidating and streamlining business processes - team is focused on Security space
- Project : Supporting multiple initiatives planned under Application and Cloud Security portfolio for FY25 in initial phases there are no standardized processes so are working to streamline and consolidate this, the contractor will be assisting with documentation
Typical Day in Role :
- Consolidate, streamline and standardize enterprise business processes.
- Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to obtain feedback of defined processes and continually improve.
- Functional support of all ESS (Enterprise Security Services) teams on day-to-day business operations.
- Publish defined processes in JIRA / Confluence for enterprise-wide reference and use.
- Support establishing of centralized team in charge of wider team communications and presentation material using standardized templates and format.
- Documentation-heavy role
- Will be consolidating all documentation into a one stop shop and defining processes
- Developing swim lanes, process flows in the tools Jira and Confluence
- Working with vendor engagement, PPI, third party vendors e.g. working with SOWs
Must Have Skills :
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / BSA
- 5+ years of experience with JIRA
- 5+ years of experience with Confluence
- 3+ years’ working experience with third party contracts’ management
Nice-To-Have Skills :
- Experience in FI / banking
- 3+ years’ experience in business operations in the Application and Cloud Security space
Education :
- Bachelors in technical field preferred
- CBAP certification nice to have
Best VS. Average Candidate :
Strong BA who is an expert in JIRA + Confluence is the top skillset (to be able to develop swim lanes, process flows in the tools), to be an expert in defining the process map, has experience in cloud security space nice to have;
is able to take initiative to reach out to teams within the org to identify processes, requiring minimal hand holding

- 1 round with HM and possible others TBD, MS Teams 1 hour behavioral, scenario-based questions possible exercise to have the candidate demonstrate JIRA / Confluence skills by sharing screen
