Project Order Engineering Specialist

Eaton’s PCS division is seeking a Project Order Engineering Specialist for a hybrid role based in Airdrie, Calgary, Edmonton or Burlington. Eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

What You’ll Do

The Project Order Engineering Specialist is responsible for proactively managing and coordinating the technical aspects of project orders, ranging from basic to highly complex, including standard, assembled‑to‑order, and engineered‑to‑order equipment. You will serve as a customer advocate, leading complex project issues and communicating status updates to project managers, plant teams, field sales, and customers. Your role will involve :

• Maintaining the technical integrity of assembled‑to‑order projects by reviewing customer specifications, order entry documents, and drawing schedules.
• Communicating with plant engineers, conducting drawing reviews and submittals, and providing technical clarifications.
• Determining value‑engineering options and responding to pricing requests.
• Managing multiple project orders simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet customer expectations.
• Coordinating with document control to fulfill all project documentation requirements—operation and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, as‑built drawings, etc.
• Working with post‑sales specialists to resolve warranty and damage issues.
• Maintaining effective communication with internal departments and external partners such as contractors, distributors, consulting engineers, and OEMs to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Participating and leading customer review meetings, including on‑board, witness test or inspection visits, and site meetings.

Compensation

Base pay range : $99,336 – $124,169 (CAD). Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
