Job Summary :

Reporting to the General Manager, Busology Tech, the Director, Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to meet Busology's business objectives.

The Director will lead and motivate a team of marketing and sales representatives to source new business from prospective clients as well as generate and close back to base opportunities.

This position is responsible for achieving lead and funnel generation, sales, and revenue goals by developing and strengthening both internal relationships with Busology staff and long-term relationships with customers and partners

Responsibilities

  • Coach and lead the sales and marketing team to exceed targets
  • Achieve / exceed sales targets and net revenue quota by prospecting new customers and selling
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's goals, grow its funnel and deliver high-quality prospects to sales representatives
  • Collaboratively work with sales representatives to develop an overall account plan to maximize opportunities and generate business with customers
  • Coach team members on negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to capture new business opportunities
  • Oversee all marketing-related events, trade shows, and campaigns to increase brand and solution awareness
  • Analyze market trends, coordinate market and competitor research, and amplify the "voice of the customer" internally within Busology so that we continue to provide the relevant solutions to the marketplace
  • Submit accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotas
  • Effectively communicate and present Busology solutions and overall value proposition to all levels of client organizations
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Busology value proposition and articulate how Busology solutions can help solve customer business problems
  • Build peer support and strong internal relationships with other senior leadership members
  • Responsible for proposal development for RFPs
  • Work collaboratively with the Client Services, Product Management, and Development teams to ensure that client needs are met and reflected in contracts and SOW
  • Work with the General Manager and peers on the leadership team to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profits

  • Exhibits a polished, professional image, and mature communication style while demonstrating sound judgment, integrity, flexibility, and adaptability to change
  • Degree or diploma in business administration, business management, or related field
  • 5-7 years of direct professional sales experience with successful software sales
  • 5+ years of sales and / or marketing management experience
  • Highly motivated, metric-driven, and results-oriented
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas
  • Strong presentation, staff coaching, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Sales oriented personality
  • Solid financial acumen to determine the value of deals brought forward
  • Solid problem solving and consultative skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sales and marketing team environment with minimum supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 50% time in North America, occasionally on short notice
