Position Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across Azure and hybrid / multi-cloud environments. You will manage CI / CD pipelines, containerized applications, and monitoring solutions while collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams.

You will define DevOps best practices, mentor junior engineers, and ensure reliable, high-performing systems. Your work will include incident response, troubleshooting complex systems, implementing automation, and maintaining security and compliance standards. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, directly impacting on the reliability and scalability of our applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Azure and hybrid / multi-cloud environments
• Implement and manage automated build, test, and deployment of pipelines using Bitbucket CI / CD and Pipelines
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management, scaling, and monitoring
• Implement monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and SLAs using Azure Monitor and related tools
• Apply networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs) and security best practices (IAM, secrets management, SSL / TLS, encryption, compliance such as ISO and SOC2)
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and reliable operations
• Mentor junior engineers and define DevOps best practices
• Troubleshoot complex systems and provide proactive problem-solving solutions
• Participate in Agile development processes, code reviews, and postmortems
• Work with microservices architectures, Dapr, Java, Spring Boot, React, and Python-based solutions

Required Skills & Education

This role is hybrid. The expectation is for the employee to come into the London, ON office 1-2 days per week.
