For this specific position the candidate must have a thorough understanding of mechanical systems to be able to make optimal selections and designs of products listed successful candidates responsibilities will include : The following are the principal duties of the Mechanical Outside and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders (Contractors Developers Owners etc.) to grow sales and expand market share in accordance with company goals and the sale of all mechanical equipment including but not limited to Air Handling Units Make Up Air Units Roof Top Package Units Dedicated Outdoor Air Units Heat Pumps Chillers and VRF. This will include : Be able to identify and maximize out product selections for design / build able to interpret schedules construction drawings specifications able to do take-offs prepare quotations and tenders prepare and issue -educate and attend manufacturers factory / training visits to ensure you are constantly up to date on the latest product developments and software tools. (Some travel will be involved)Understand and remain current with both industry and local codes and regulations and market trends to ensure we comply and can exploit the contractor community in an accurate and timely an understanding of our competitors product relationships through in-person meetings lunches industry events etc.. Follow up all quotes / opportunities to secure orders better understand each market and investigate the projects we and implement new product introductions to the job sites as and when on-site challenges present themselvesPlan and accompany customers on factory a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly ASHRAE and attend trade shows when requested to do all divisional and office meetingsAssist in all customer events as required. This could be open houses sporting events lunches as part of a team with a Customer First approach to ideal candidate for this position will have : A minimum of 3 years experience selling HVAC related mechanical equipment but 5 or more years would be preferred.
