We are hiring one full-time, permanent Inventory Planner working out of Edmonton, AB.

The Inventory Planner is part of the Supply Chain team in Electricity Operations. As the Inventory Planner, you would be accountable for the performance of day-to-day inventory functions such as determining appropriate inventory levels, tracking material availability, replenishing stock items, designing and running reports as well as maintaining the item database.

Responsibilities

• Determining appropriate inventory levels based on lead times, order quantity, future demand, safety stock, service levels, and inventory value
• Providing input to Electricity Operations regarding inventory strategies and material availability
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Identifying and resolving inventory issues, tracking material availability for projects and advising on material consumption
• Planning and analyzing inventory including incorporating trends, seasonality, forecasts, random variation when monitoring stock levels, and slow‑moving inventory
• Adjusting and / or calculating replenishment parameters to SKU
• Creating requisitions in Oracle; designing and running reports using Business Intelligence (BI) software
• Assisting in developing tactics and recommendations to optimize inventory value, minimizing stock outs, increasing turns and reducing surplus
• Working with internal stakeholders to gather information regarding material requirements and order accordingly
• Maintaining / updating item database using Item Administrator guidelines
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop alternative or substitute materials
• Working with Accounts Payable and / or Procurement to resolve invoicing / shipment discrepancies

You are able to manage conflicting priorities throughout the day with minimal supervision and take initiative when completing tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard. You also possess a high level of safety awareness in regard to work performance, demonstrate strong communication skills, and are able to anticipate team needs.

Class : T1

Wage : Starting at $41.52 per hour (Final wage placement will be determined at the time of selection and is based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement)

Hours of work : 80 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday
