The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing trailersSetup and repair of all types of air systemsAssemble and repair of all types and makes of suspensions and axlesGeneral mechanical repairs such as brakes, pintle-hook assembliesStructural repair and replacement of floors, walls, doors or roofsInstallation and repair of all types of electrical & hydraulic systemsAny other task related to the position may also be assignedAftermarket installing of lift gatesSCHEDULE

Training as a mechanic OR more than three years' work experience in the mechanic's field (mechanic license considered an asset)Welding experienceStrong diagnostics & repair skillsAbility to understand and apply the principles and techniques of trailer component assembly and to follow instructionsGood spatial reasoning skillsAbility to work alone and collaborate as a teamAbility to read drawings
