Reporting to the Alberta Media Fund and Financial Operations Manager, this position is responsible for providing advice, consultation, and information services for all cultural industry grants including the Alberta Media Fund (film, television and digital media production, book and magazine publishing, as well as sound recording) to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent communicates accurate and up-to-date information in the areas of provincial / national resources available to cultural industry organizations, organizational policy, financial reporting and administration, grant program development and policy, and a broad range of information and issues related to the funding opportunities and systems available.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide research, analysis, advice, consultation, and information services for Cultural Industry grants and contributes to the creation, stability, and growth of provincial Cultural Industries Infrastructure.
• Support the efficient delivery of all grant programs within the Cultural Industries Branch in alignment with Department goals and objectives including the ongoing management and monitoring of multiple cultural industry grant streams.
• Identify needs for changes to program policy and delivery and provide recommendations to management and executive.
• Build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support to assigned projects.
• Provide guidance to grant program staff and participate as a member of a collaborative team to ensure success of the branch.
• Provides cover-off for the Manager and other team members.

University graduation in a related field (i.e. Arts, Business, etc) plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below
