Class 1 Owner Operator - Open Dispatch

Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.

In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steel shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.

Edge Transport is growing and currently looking to recruit experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work. You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton or Calgary. This role is open dispatch and you will run through SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.

What You Bring

• A positive CAN-DO attitude
• Safety conscious approach to all job duties
• Class 1A Driver’s License – Minimum 2 year highway driving experience required
• 1 year flat/step deck experience required
• Highway tractor required
• Willing to run on open dispatch
• A clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions
• Ability to pass a criminal record check & pre-employment drug screening
