Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Services, this position is responsible for transporting medically stable clients to and from medical appointments, leisure activities/programs, and to and from home, following a preplanned route and defined time schedule. The role ensures the safety and comfort of clients during boarding/off-boarding and transportation, while maintaining professional, ethical, and safe standards and providing excellent customer service. Other duties include completing forms and records such as updated route sheets, time sheets, and incident/accident reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation from Grade 12 is required
• Valid Alberta Class 2-4 driver's license required
• Clean driver's abstract required; First Aid is an asset
• Minimum 5 years of professional driving a bus or large vehicle is preferred
• Training in Q’Straint – 4 Point Securement Systems is an asset
• High attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Experience in a health care environment is an asset
