Minimum Qualifications :

  • 2 years experience operating an excavator
  • Able to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to travel with the crew throughout the local area

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to use grade laser & pipe laser
  • Experience in sloping, trenching, lowering pipe, materials and tools and backfilling
  • Experience working with shoring and trench boxes

Day in the Life

Calling all heavy equipment operators! You’ll be the powerhouse behind the controls of 13 ton to 30 ton excavators, operating a variety of large machinery.

Your responsibilities will include safely maneuvering equipment to perform tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, and lifting materials, ensuring trenches are excavated to the proper depth / grade.

You’ll also be responsible for performing all fluid level checks and conducting routine maintenance on the equipment, cleaning, servicing, and performing minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Conducting pre-operational checks on equipment, completing maintenance records, and daily equipment logs will also all be crucial to the job.
