Five Acre Co. Rentals is seeking an energetic Live Event General Labourer to join our team as for the summer events season.
The ideal candidate will assist in the execution of live events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional experiences for attendees.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is opportunity is supported through the Nuu-Chah-Nulth Employment & Training Program and is open to First Nations students who plan on continuing their studies in the fall of 2024.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the setup and takedown of event spaces, including staging, lighting, and audiovisual equipment.
- Work in various roles during each event, including at the front gate, set up and tear down, ticketing, vendor assistance, band load-in and load-out, green room set up, and more.
- Maintain inventory of event supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is well-maintained and accounted for.
- Assist with post-event activities, including organizing event equipment in our warehouse
Qualifications
- An interest in the live events industry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Physical ability to lift and carry event equipment, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods.
