Job Description
Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a PART TIME Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers 10 hours per week and is 100% on site in Mississauga, ON.
The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting principles.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement efficient accounting procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews as required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven experience with capital leases required.
- Proven experience in an Accounting or Bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing financial transactions.
- CPA certification (preferred but not required).
