About this Opportunity :

Reporting to the Regional Leader this position is responsible for serving customers in person, online and via telephone to fulfill their insurance needs.

You are responsible for counseling and assessing risk for customers for Personal Lines policies and providing minimal Autopac assistance as needed.

You must possess a strong knowledge of insurance markets / portals, products and pricing to properly match a client’s risk with the correct product.

Works directly with company underwriters and places business using a high level of judgement and risk assessment skill. In this position, you will be a resource to co-workers for personal lines knowledge.

You are a brand ambassador and in charge of delivering superior customer service experience. Judgement, integrity, teamwork, professionalism and passion are key components of this position.

Performance Objectives :

• Achieve annually established individual growth and sales objectives
• Prospect new customers and opportunities, action all leads
• Ensure the retention and growth of assigned Personal Lines Book of Business; ensuring all customer and Book management requirements are managed and reviewing all new policies and cancellations.
• Place coverage with insurance markets while handling the required day to day work and paper flow; performing annual coverage reviews including outlining additional coverage availability
• Provide support with Autopac transactions and other duties as required

Qualifications / Skills :

• Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience as an Insurance Broker managing a large Personal Lines book of business is preferred.
• Current Level 2 or 3 Manitoba Insurance License (full CAIB designation is considered a strong asset)
• Experience with other lines of insurance (Autopac, Farm, Commercial etc.) is considered an asset
• Familiarity with EPIC is considered an asset
• Organized and efficient with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Flexibility and a positive team player approach with effective communication skills
