Project Manager - Technical Field Services (High Voltage)

The Project Manager - Technical Field Services (High Voltage) will be responsible for leading projects, fostering strong client relationships, and overseeing Field Service Technicians. This role collaborates closely with both local and remote managers to support designated clients, projects, and teams, with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences through the successful execution of Field Services projects. The position is hybrid, requiring approximately 40% business travel (including overnight stays) and 60% onsite work at a corporate office.
Accountabilities
- Develop a strategy to increase brand awareness and prospects for potential new clients
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to develop new work and drive repeat business
- Maintain the CRM activities, opportunities and forecasting
Coordination of Project Management
Oversee all aspects of the projects within the regionPlan resources effectively and work collaboratively with other regions to share resourcesEnsure proper, complete preparation and execution of scheduled workPreparation of status and progress reportsEnsure safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fosteredEnsure completion of reports and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completeness of workEnsure accurate and timely project invoicingUltimate responsibility for client service delivery on all projectsBusiness Objectives

Electrical Engineering diploma, degree or PSE certificationNETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certification preferred5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power Systems Electrician preferred
Relevant experience in maintenance, repair, rebuild and troubleshooting of transformers, protective relays and circuit breakers preferredProficient knowledge of the principles behind the test equipment used and well‑rounded understanding of power systemsExperience in the Installation, commissioning and start‑up of power equipment preferredExperience working with automation & control systems in the power and utilities market is an assetPossesses hands‑on field experience in commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment; including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers preferredAbility to travel - approx. 40% overnight travelMust have a valid driver's licenseCareer‑minded individual with proven initiative, client focus and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent time management skills (able to work with minimal supervision)Able to work flexible hours that might include weekends, evenings and holidaysWork as a team player with excellent oral and written communication skillsCompany Benefits
