Description
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform scheduled (PM) and unscheduled maintenance (Reactive) on robots and automated equipment in a timely manner.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel related to all facets of the automated and facilities equipment.
- Assist in developing PM strategies and identify areas of improvement as related to all automated equipment.
- Ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are maintained.
- Provide a complete inventory control of specialized parts / equipment for prescribed equipment.
- Design and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
- This position requires extensive logic controllers & robotic troubleshooting.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s TQI program.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
- Position is On Call 24 / 7
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Red Seal Certification in Electrical
- Technical diploma in Automation or Engineering Technology
- 3 plus years’ experience in the hands on repair and maintenance of Automation, Robotics and CNC
- Experience with Kuka Robots is considered and asset
- Hands on technical skills with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC, CNC, Electrical and Mechanical Systems
