Title : Data Modeler
Location : Durham NC or Smithfield RI
Duration : 6 months
POSITIONDESCRIPTION : The Team Workplace Investments data modeling teampartners with the project teams to deliver practical &resilient data models and database designs that meet business needswhile adhering to Enterprise and Industry standard methodologies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE : 1.) Strong Data modeling(Conceptual Logical Physical 3nF Dimensional) at both a project andenterprise level.
2.) Knowledge of Data Modeling Tools such asPowerdesigner Oracle Designer or Erwin. 3.) Experience in DataAnalytics and ability to write SQL to query data.
INTERVIEWPROCESS : One round 60minute panel with the HM and teammember(s).
Experience :
- Strong Data modeling (Conceptual Logical Physical 3nFDimensional) at both a project and enterprise level
- Dimensional Modeling with experience in craftingconformed dimensions that can be used across BusinessUnits.
- Knowledge of Data Modeling Tools suchas Powerdesigner Oracle Designer or Erwin
- Understanding of principles and industry standards aroundData Architecture
- Experience working with DataEngineering and Data Analytics teams
- Experience in Data Analytics and ability to write SQL toquery data
- Solid grasp of Databasetechnologies (DB2 Oracle and Snowflake) techniques andtrends
- Experience with Mainframe distributedand Cloud (AWS / Azure) environments
- Experiencewith data governance and metadata management tools and standardmethodologies a plus
- Excellent written andpresentation skills
- Ability to explain Datastructures to a nontechnical audience
- Resultsoriented with proven ability to work independently and with amatrixed organization
- Strong leadershipteamwork interpersonal negotiating and influencingskills
