Job Description
Are you passionate about people? We are looking for a dedicated HR Advisor to join our team! As an HR Advisor, you'll be the go-to person for managers and supervisors, guiding them through various employee-related issues and helping them understand our company policies and provincial employment laws.
You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with different business units, investigate concerns, and even deliver some HR training sessions.

Location : HR Advisor will follow a hybrid remote / onsite schedule. Applicants to this role can expect to work on-site from our Distribution Centre in Johnstown, Ontario 4 days a week.

HR Advisor, Role Highlights :
Execute on aspects of the people plan (labour, process and tools) as assigned by the HR Business Partner.
Communicate and train on HR systems, programs and processes that are in place to support functional areas HR needs and Gaps.
Execute compliance around HR policies / labour legislation for your business unit and identify risks and actions to escalate to the HR Business Partner as needed.
Communicate with COEs and HR Ops to resolve any concerns for your business unit and ensure that you escalate feedback from your business unit to the HR Business Partner.
Provide coaching, counselling and responses on employee relations and labour relations programs, policies and procedures that impact your business unit.
Build business relationships as a trusted and proactive HR advisor through our HR Best Practices to drive employee engagement.
HR Advisor, Key Qualifications :
Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a HR role
Skilled in developing positive working relationships with business leaders
Excellent attention to detail with written work
Proven ability to effectively communicate in a positive way
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate provincial employment law, policies and regulations
Strong computer skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required
Acts with the highest professional standards of personal and professional integrity
Assets
Bilingualism English and French
Experience working in an HRIS
Relevant experience in conducting ER investigations, including harassment investigations and supporting MOL & Human Rights claims
