About this role :
At Compass ELC, you will work as an Administrative Culture Lead alongside some of the industry's most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators.
You will spend your time engaging, connecting, and learning alongside children, families, community partners and co-workers.
You will support the administrative and licensing requirements within the program in support of the Operations, Human Relations, and Finance teams.
You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness.
These positions will be hours per week, Monday to Friday. You must have availability from am to pm every Monday to Friday.
Hours will be determined to meet the needs of the program.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Facilitate and participate in staff meetings.
- Support a culture of collaboration, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Planning and implementing play-based experiences based on children’s interests.
- Administering payroll, billing, subsidy reconciliations, maintaining staff files, and coordinating staffing needs.
- Administering the program budget in partnership with the finance team.
- Following and supporting Ministry Licensing and Reporting Guidelines
- Build and maintain relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers, students, community partners, and school staff.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of equipment, furniture, and materials.
- Welcome new team members, families, and children into the program.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Strong disposition towards administration, organization, research, and inquiry.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new software processes.
- A clear understanding of CCEYA (Child Care Early Years Act), related legislation, and Compass ELC policies and procedures.
- Minimum of years of experience working as a Registered Early Childhood Educator.

- Possess required training and documents as per Ministry of Education, Compass Early Learning and Care, and Child Care Early Years Act requirements.
