The Chinook School Division requires a full time (1.0 FTE) temporary teacher at Swift Current Comprehensive High School beginning December 2, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
The teaching assignment includes Arts Education 9, Visual Art 10 / 20, ELA 9 and Creative Writing 20. SCCHS is a Grade 9-12 school with 995 students and 53 teachers.

Qualifications :
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment;
- A teaching philosophy that reflects a constructivist and cooperative learning approach;
- Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC’s, professionals and community service agencies;
- Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
Successful teaching experience or training;
Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
