Reportingto the IT Director the IT Support Technician provides support andassistance for the network components of the computer systems usedby the company s internal clients.
They ensure the properfunctioning of these systems and help maintain the security ofsystems and data integrity while offering technical support to allcompany users.
Roles andResponsibilities
- ProvideIT support to employees.
- Ensuresystem application documentation is up todate.
- Assist in the developmentmaintenance and administration of the network to ensure the needsof internal clients are met.
- Provideservices maintain and keep an uptodate inventory of all designatedIT equipment.
- Advise and supportusers on the company s software.
- Graduallytroubleshoot firstlevelissues.
- Liaise with network managersfor thirdlevelissues.
- Establishuser training plans and needs; prepare organize and deliverapproved software trainingcourses.
- Pay attention to datasecurity in system operations and ensure user guides areupdated.
- Provide guidance andtraining to users in response to encountered issues; direct usersto company procedures.
- Organize andmaintain an updated log of issues and solutions to be used by othertechnical support agents.
- Installprinters and perform Windowsupdates.
- Provide basic technicalsupport particularly to less techsavvy factoryemployees.
- Onboard new employees andcreate user accounts via theportal.
- Track and manage ITequipment inventory.
- Providecomprehensive technical support to theteam.
- Ensure all equipment and ITsystems are functioningproperly.
