Description de posteSuccessful completion of pre-employment college program or equivalent experience Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block 1) 1 to 3 years’ experience in structural steel fabricating Able to work rotating shifts - 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights
Responsibilities
- Position, align and fitting of structural metal or steel
- Determine material requirements and task sequences with the use of shop drawings
- Mark reference points on workpieces, using measuring devices, squares, chalk, or soapstone
- Lift or move steel materials into position using overhead cranes
- Regular use of jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
Requirements :
As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive compensation package beginning after completing forty-five (45) working shifts, including seniority with Shopmen’s Local Unit No.809, overtime hours worked paid at time & a half; double time on weekends, health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
