AWS Data Engineer (Remote - Canada)
Job description :
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS data services, particularly Athena, Glue, S3, and other storage services.
Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and PySpark is essential for this role. Experience in moving data efficiently and effectively is highly desired, and familiarity with SAP Hana is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS using services such as Athena, Glue, S3, and other storage services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions.
- Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automated processes for data movement, transformation, and quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends in data engineering and cloud computing.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS data services.
- Expertise in AWS data services such as Athena, Glue, S3, and other storage services.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) development and automation.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark for data processing and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data migration and data synchronization between different systems.
- Familiarity with SAP Hana is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
