Creating social media content. Developing content ideas to promote upcoming product launches and brand stories, ensuring content resonates with the customer and the brand.
This includes creating written content, graphics, and videos ranging from several seconds to several minutes.
Managing the social media content calendar and planning process. Planning, managing, and coordinating the content calendar, researching upcoming relevant news, events, or holidays.
Leading social content brainstorming sessions.
Community management. Responding to and engaging with our Purdys community across social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest & Glassdoor
Experimenting and using data to inform strategy. Extract insights and learnings from each social channel and from your time engaging with our community, use these insights to inform our social strategy.
Keeping up to date with industry trends. Keep on top of social media trends and popular culture, recognizing opportunities for Purdys to take advantage of to further resonate with customers.
Showcasing the brand and voice. Adopt their voice and tone across content work and ensure that anything shared on any social channel is on-brand.
Requirements
- Must have 1 to 2 years’ experience in a social media role creating social media content for a brand
- Must have experience creating social media short-form video content, like Instagram Reels
- Must have University degree or college diploma in English, Marketing or Communications, or similar fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a keen eye for grammar
- A passion for social media, social media trends and content creation
- A self-motivated, fast learner who enjoys being both a self-starter and collaborating in a team environment
- Experience using Sprout or social media scheduling and reporting software
- Experience working with influencers (either paid or organic) is an asset
