We currently have a Contract opportunity for a Tech Lead - Governance Tools (12 months contract). This role can be based out of one our main offices including : Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Calgary, AB.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing :

As a Tech Lead - Data Platforms with Sobeys, you will :

• Work in the Platform Administration team within the Enterprise Data Office.
• Perform administration functions within the Snowflake, Informatica, Purview, and Tableau platforms.
• Investigate and resolve issues within the platforms.
• Help to implement cost monitoring techniques and optimizations.
• Implement methods to monitor jobs and alert when there are failures.
• Implement and maintain user accounts, user authentication methods, databases, warehouses, roles, and system policies.
• Propose and implement database query performance optimizations.
• Perform and / or inform of upcoming upgrades or releases.
• Identify system bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
• Self learning (via Udemy as one option) to keep skills current.
