About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Ayás Mén̓men Administration Department, this position reports directly to the Delegated Case Manager, Working collaboratively with families and other resources, Ayás Mén̓men Child & Family Services delivers child safety, family support, and prevention services grounded in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh teachings.

As per the tripartite Agreement signed by Chiefs & Council, the Province of BC, and Canada, this is delegated (C4) intermediate social worker position which has the responsibility to act, on behalf of the Directors the delegated legal guardian of Squamish children who have been taken into care (including off-reserve children).

As an intermediate Social Worker position, the incumbent will be responsible for a semi-advanced caseload, for aproviding prevention support to families ando appropriate resource as necessary.

Additionally, performs guardianship, resource and family support service functions. This position advocates for the families associated with Children in Care.

Salary : $ 86,776 - $ 99,335 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
