SUMMARY : We are seeking a Community Club Instructor in the Royal Oak area of Victoria on Wednesdays for the 2024-2025 school year - approximately 0.12 FTE. This positions are ideal for an instructor who resides within the Victoria region and is interested in teaching a single or multi-grade class for 21 days in the year (7 days / term, 3 terms / year). Community Club Instructors plan and teach a thematic-based unit with a different focus each term and communicate with Home Learning Support Teachers and parents through term summaries. Interested applicants should enjoy using hands-on and project-based learning methods and should work well in a team with other instructors and support staff. Those applying for this position should be creative classroom instructors willing to work with a wide range of grade levels and skills and abilities in one classroom. Remuneration $5300-$7600 based on qualifications and experience. EDUCATION AND / OR TRAINING : Teachers who are certified by the B.C. Teachers Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools are preferred; however, applications from non-certified individuals who meet all other criteria will be considered. Applicants must also be Christians who agree with RCOA’s RCOA’s statement of faith. EXPERIENCE : Experience and education related to working with students in online learning and project-based learning is an asset but not required.
