About the Role :

We are recruiting a Vice President of Finance to be a member of our senior leadership team and oversee the financial management of our business and develop the foundation for Oxygen8’s continued rapid and profitable growth. Key Responsibilities :

• Lead, mentor, motivate and manage the finance and accounting team fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the financial month-end and year-end closes and assist with reconciliations when needed.
• Manage the year-end audit and Canadian / US tax returns.
• Work with the CEO on strategy, business case analysis, equity financings, debt facilities and government funding opportunities.
• Provide the management team and the board of directors with the financial reporting and tracking of company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and KPI dashboards.
• Prepare quarterly board meeting presentations and investor updates.
• Drive business process and ERP system improvement initiatives to increase our efficiencies, capacity, margins and profitability.
• Manage relationships with our bank, auditors, tax and legal partners.
• Oversee the payroll function and collaborate with the People & Culture team on the HRIS / Payroll system development.
• Prepare the annual financial budget and maintain the rolling three-year financial forecast.
