Opus Fund ServicesHalifax, NS, CanadaWhy Opus?
At Opus, integrity isn't just a principle. It's how we do business. As an independently owned company operating in seven countries, we’ve built our success by staying true to our values : questioning everything, embracing change, building not buying, winning together, and doing the right thing. Our employees see the difference - we’re a certified Great Place to Work® in Canada, the USA, Ireland, and the Philippines. If you share our beliefs and want to be part of a team that values innovation, accountability, and doing the job right, we’d love to connect.
This Opportunity :
Our clients need bank accounts to manage their funds effectively. These accounts are necessary to receive investment contributions from investors, disburse funds for investor withdrawals, and to cover operational costs. For new clients, ensuring the timely opening of these accounts is crucial to successfully launch their fund. At any time, our team is responsible for opening 50+ accounts and maintaining approximately 700 bank accounts. The team handles billions of dollars and processes 10,000+ wires annually.
You will be the primary interface between our clients and their third-party banking relationships. Your responsibilities will include :
- Oversee the opening of bank accounts through proper completion of documentation and coordination of supporting information to meet their “know your client” obligations.
- Manage communications with internal teams and external clients and banks in relation to account set up, closure or user maintenance queries or requests.
- Ensure internal and external requests and queries are dealt with on a timely basis, managing expectations accordingly.
- Manage all user permission requirements for Opus staff and clients with relevant third-party banks.
- Complete all requests to add, amend or delete users at the banks, and ensure these are completed and submitted accurately and on time.
- Promptly escalate any issues or delays to the appropriate audience.
- Update Opus software applications with new users or account records ensuring alignment with third-party banks at all times.
- Completion of Ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
