This role would be helping us to validate that the power applications within the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) are functioning as expected, and that the data is not causing any adverse effects. They will be creating auditing tools to help us validate our ADMS network model. They will also be assisting with testing and helping to facilitate testing activities for System Control staff.
The successful candidate will be performing but not limited to the following activities:
- Support the safe and reliable operation of ADMS and its power applications and associated databases (i.e., Protection and Control Management Information System (PCMIS))
- Assist in Network Model Build for ADMS
- Validate system data, perform data analysis, and generate reports
- Assist with software testing and configuration updates (i.e., Hot fix testing support)
- Support development of operating instructions, job aids, procedures, and presentations
- Maintain and monitor SharePoint content, Power BI dashboards, and documentation
- Extract and analyze data from Hydro One systems (e.g., PCMIS, Infobase, GIS, E-log, IMS)
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational and performance reports
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement Model (CIM) in the department and line of business

Selection Criteria:
- Academic Program: Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Academic Year: Completion of 3rd year required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
