Job Description :
The Manager of Capital Assets will be responsible for driving standardized processes across fixed, leased, and capital asset accounting in a complex and evolving environment.
They will help to meet the company's financial reporting goals for timeliness and accuracy, plus contribute to the continuous process improvement environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Review and approve fixed asset and capital project accounting and monthly and quarterly reporting, including acquisitions, depreciation, impairment and disposals
- Assist in the preparation of financial statement notes, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
- Manage the fixed asset register and review reconciliations between the G / L and sub-ledger
- Provide guidance on capitalization policies
- Drive standardized processes across fixed, leased and capital assets accounting
- Manage and coordinate exception resolution with internal and external stakeholders
- Design, implement and monitor processes and controls to address identified areas for improvement
- Leads staff in the execution of their duties including hiring, training and development, performance coaching and creating an engaging environment
- Liaise with external auditors during the quarterly review and annual audit process
- Other duties as assigned
