Finance Clerk

Salary range – $41,00 – $45,000

Full Time, Days (40 hours / week)

The Opportunity :

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the  Finance Clerk  is responsible for managing all accounts receivables, assisting in accounts payable, cheque requisitions, will include submitting monthly reports to accounting, making accurate monthly remittances, providing assistance with annual audit, investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquires, timely and accurate invoicing, updating internal database and completing administrative duties related to the Finance Department.

What You Will Be Doing…

  • Reconciling Accounts receivables, invoicing, payment processing, receipt processing, payment allocation
  • Cheque requisitions and tracking
  • Monthly reports and remittances
  • Verify office transactions to ensure complaint with finance policy and procedures
  • Filling and scanning accounting records
  • Inventory of bus tickets, cab slips, activities and events tickets
  • Credit Card and bank reconciling and tracking
  • Following up with outstanding payments and discrepancies
  • Act as first contact for Finance department and delegate calls and requests as necessary

Who You Are :

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-3+ years of experience working in a Finance position with exposure to Accounts Receivables
  • Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Accounting software is considered an asset
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Experienced in data-entry
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, must thrive in a team environment
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable problem solver that enjoys critical thinking
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with multiple stakeholders, including key business partners, and government agencies
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; in particular Excel and Word
  • Bondable and able to work in Canada
  • Have a Valid Manitoba Class 5 Drivers’ License and daily
