Senior Product Owner – Digital Banking Application (Canadian Credit Union Sector)Location : Hybrid within Canada, with availability to work with teams across multiple geographies (Canada and India)Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Product Owner to lead and shape the future of our Digital Banking Application tailored specifically for Canadian Credit Unions. This role requires a strategic thinker deeply knowledgeable about the credit union ecosystem who can provide thought leadership on digital banking trends and features. The successful candidate will excel in Agile delivery practices and thrive in a dynamic, client-focused, and geographically distributed team environment.Your future duties and responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities : 1. Thought Leadership
- Stay at the forefront of digital banking trends, technologies, and innovations, particularly those relevant to Canadian Credit Unions.
- Advise credit union clients on best practices and strategies to enhance member engagement and satisfaction through tailored digital solutions.
- Translate emerging trends into actionable product features that directly address the needs and challenges of Canadian Credit Unions.2. Product Management
- Define and articulate a clear product vision and roadmap tailored to the specific operational, regulatory, and strategic goals of credit union clients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring the delivery of high-value features.
- Ensure the product meets Canadian regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the credit union sector.3. Agile Delivery
- Champion Agile principles, facilitating iterative development and delivery.
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, developers, QA teams, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to the credit union sector.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and obstacles to maintain delivery momentum.4. Client Engagement
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with Canadian credit union clients, acting as a strategic advisor and advocate for their needs.
- Conduct workshops, demos, and presentations to communicate product vision and progress, focusing on credit union-specific challenges and solutions.
- Gather and incorporate client feedback to continuously improve the product and maintain alignment with the credit union sector's evolving landscape.5. Collaboration Across Geographies
- Coordinate effectively with teams located in different time zones and geographies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity within globally dispersed teams while prioritizing Canadian client needs.
- Ensure seamless communication and alignment across all stakeholders, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes for credit unions.Required qualifications to be successful in this roleQualifications and Skills : Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management, with a focus on financial services or digital banking.
- Proven track record of working with Canadian credit unions or within the credit union ecosystem.Technical Skills :
- Deep understanding of digital banking platforms and Canadian credit union operations.
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.Leadership and Communication Skills :
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, particularly credit union stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities within the credit union sector.Personal Attributes :
