Job Summary
The Lead Project Manager will play a key role in managing large-scale projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership :
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects aligned with business objectives.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Team Management :
- Supervise and mentor project managers and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Assign responsibilities and ensure teams are equipped to meet project goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address challenges.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
- Provide clear and timely communication of project updates, risks, and changes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Risk and Issue Management :
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Budget and Resource Oversight :
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Review and approve budget adjustments and resource reallocations as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Reporting :
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Develop and present detailed project reports, including performance metrics and lessons learned.
- Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities to enhance project workflows and implement best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.Experience :8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven success in managing large-scale logistics, operational, or IT projects.Technical Skills :Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).Familiarity with logistics, transportation, or supply chain management systems.Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Soft Skills :Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Preferred Qualifications :
