The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on manufacturing project needs including Plant Capex projects, CI Initiatives as related to Engineering and Production needs, Safety, and also serve as the lead SME for the new ERP (SAP).

Leads the development of requirements for capital equipment and oversees the implementation and integration of the equipment into manufacturing operations. Works closely with the Project Harmony internal team members to direct and streamline the business needs focusing on support from the estimating needs thru to the production and shipping needs.

Lea the manufacturing process improvements with data analysis of the manufacturing processes and direct the overall quality assurance program in an active and hands on manner.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Equivalent
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ work experience in manufacturing environments with various equipment and prices reviews / implementations
  • Minimum 5-10 years work experience with progressive responsibility in engineering, operations, or IT departments
  • 3-5 years of hands-on health and safety experience in a Manufacturing environment.

  • Extensive knowledge and working experience with ERP system evaluations and implementations. SAP experience a definite asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an organized fashion keeping within time and budget constraints
  • Ability to clearly communicate project status(s) via reports, presentations, and project plans Required Ability to effectively relate and converse ideas in both abstract and visual form.
  • Ability to provide leadership and innovation at all organization levels. Required Knowledge of vendor capabilities and lead times Preferred Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to exercise tact and patience in demanding situations Required Ability to use PC and Microsoft office programs
  • P.Eng. license and / or in progress
  • JHSC certified
