Job Title : General Labourer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Paint / Prep specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including sandblasting parts, operating machinery, and preparing products for painting. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Work Environment

Our Client is a large heavy industrial manufacturing company located in a brand new building. The production floor has approximately 40 employees, with 5 people in the maintenance department. The environment is family-oriented with a strong safety culture and long-tenured employees. The work environment is loud and noisy, with a paint smell, and is a bright and enclosed warehouse. The day shift runs from 6 : 45 am to 3 : 05 pm, and the afternoon shift runs from 2 : 45 pm to 11 : 15 pm. A shift premium of $2 is provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend production meetings in the morning
• Receive and review work orders for the day
• Stage products using an overhead crane
• Sandblast parts
• Operate machinery
• Clean wheels
• Create steel tags
• Tape and prep products for paint
• Move rims with overhead crane
• Move rims to assemble after oven processing
• Perform touch-ups with a spray can
• Stack rims
• Clean rims using Zilean
• Grease wheels
