Opportunity Overview
Very exciting opportunity to be a part of Field Medical team at Rhythm to support future and current indications. As a key member of the Rhythm Canada field-based team, the Medical Science Liaison will serve as a trusted scientific partner to the medical / scientific community and will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders nationally within the field of neuroendocrine diseases such as hypothalamic obesity, monogenic obesity, and Bardet-Biedl syndrome. This role will report into the Medical Director, Canada.
This position requires a strong scientific background as the individual will be a credible source of clinical / scientific data to Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), practicing clinicians, professional societies, and payers. They will leverage KOL relationships by identifying collaborative opportunities that align with internal stakeholder strategies. In this role, the individual will also support research initiatives, advisory boards, and other scientific exchange activities to support the Rhythm Canada Medical Affairs medical plan and strategies.
This role will be field based, and is national in scope. Candidates need to be located in the Greater Toronto or Montreal area, have access to airports, and be available to travel as necessary (upward of 50-75%+).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Be a trusted scientific partner to key external experts by conducting timely, appropriate, and frequent scientific exchanges to enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of Rhythm’s research
- Creates and executes an engagement plan to ensure successful execution of medical strategy / plan with KOLs :
Communicate key medical insights from KOLs and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) to inform medical strategy
Qualifications and Skills
This role is field-based. Candidates applying must have easy access to a major airport hub and be able to travel within region on average 50 – 75%.
