Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Please note, this is an 18 month temporary full-time opportunity.

The Payroll Lead, Technical Projects & Compliance supports accurate, compliant, and well‑governed payroll and time operations by applying strong technical, analytical, and compliance expertise. This role works closely with global payroll teams and key partners to manage risk, resolve complex issues, and ensure payroll and time processes are audit‑ready, reliable, and aligned to global standards.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support payroll and time compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards
  • Analyze and resolve complex payroll and time issues and escalations, applying strong technical judgment to deliver accurate and compliant outcomes
  • Provide technical expertise across payroll and time systems (e.g., SAP Payroll, Employee Central Payroll, Workforce Software) to support operational and project-based initiatives
  • Validate, reconcile, and analyze payroll and time data across multiple systems to identify discrepancies, mitigate risk, and support sound decision‑making
  • Support global payroll operations by reviewing processes and strengthening controls to safeguard payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and maintain audit‑ready documentation, including process documentation, control evidence, and reporting artifacts
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Payroll, HR, Legal, Audit, Risk, Communications) to implement and sustain payroll and time governance frameworks
  • Provide guidance to country payroll teams on payroll and time reporting, controls, and testing activities to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Translate complex technical and system‑related issues into clear, practical insights for business and HR stakeholders

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience supporting payroll and/or HR operations within a large, complex organization
  • Strong technical knowledge of payroll and time systems (SAP Payroll required; Employee Central Payroll and Workforce Software considered assets)
  • Experience supporting payroll compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to validate, reconcile, and interpret payroll and time data across systems
  • Ability to define reporting criteria and validation logic to support compliance‑driven decisions
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot system or data issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Experience partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to operationalize governance and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
  • PCP or PLP designation (or working toward) considered an asset
