We are in search of a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this hybrid role, you will be accountable for managing payroll procedures for a team of about 20 employees, overseeing benefits administration, and assisting with Accounts Receivable, banking, and reconciliations. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Manage payroll procedures for both salaried and non-union employees
- Oversee benefits administration to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks as required
- Perform banking and reconciliation duties to maintain financial accuracy
- Use ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks for various tasks
- Maintain confidentiality, respect, and transparency within the team
- Work within a team structure, interacting with various departments daily
- Operate in a smart casual dress code environment, with flexibility in work hours.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a Payroll Accountant role or similar.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is essential.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
- Experience with QuickBooks software is necessary.
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is a must.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations is required.
- Experience with ADP - Payroll is crucial.
- Capability to handle bi-Monthly Payroll is essential.
- Experience with Canadian Payroll is highly desirable.
- A thorough understanding of general Payroll procedures is needed.
