Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Clerk at our Home Centre location in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Home Centre Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following :

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
  • Provide Legendary Service through various touch points and communication channels
  • Assist guest with item selection and make recommendations based on an inquiring approach
  • Perform receiving of merchandise, stocking, operation of point-of-sale systems, pricing, displaying, selling, conduct inventory counts
  • Maintain cleanliness, rotation and order of merchandise and load products into customer vehicles as assigned
  • Come to work with a positive, professional attitude and be dependable for all shifts
  • Complete required paperwork based on department standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service :

  • You have a grade 12 education or equivalent experience; previous customer service and home centre / building materials experience are considered assets
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and are proud of the work that you do
  • You are well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
  • You’re attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills
  • Ability to fulfil physical job requirements – manual labour is required
  • You have point-of-sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
  • You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
