Summary / Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Audit to join our company. The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for managing our company's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in auditing, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Internal Auditor will report to Director, Internal Audit & SOX Compliance and will work closely with other departments within the organization to ensure that our company's financial reporting is accurate, reliable, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Manage the SOX compliance program and ensure that it is effective and efficient
- Develop and implement SOX compliance policies, procedures, and controls
- Perform risk assessments to identify key SOX controls
- Test and assess the effectiveness of SOX controls and identify control deficiencies
- Work with management to develop remediation plans for any control deficiencies
- Monitor and report on the status of SOX compliance to senior management and the board of directors
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide them with all necessary documentation and support
- Provide training and guidance to other departments within the organization on SOX compliance
- Stay up-to-date on changes to SOX regulations and other relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with SOX and other applicable regulations
Education and Experience
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This role involves travel to meet with the extended team in Canada, Charlotte, Seattle and San Jose.
