The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and driven Head of People to join our leadership team and build a world-class people function. You'll be responsible for all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and learning and development.

As Head of People you will report directly to the COO and be an important leader in the company. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of Moment Energy by creating a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work.

The Role

  • Salary : $100,000 - $150,000 CAD per year
  • Location : In-person, Moment Energy Coquitlam Office
  • Benefits :

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Foster and enhance the culture that makes Moment Energy an amazing place to work.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Moment Energy's business goals and values.
  • Lead the full cycle of talent acquisition, from employer branding and sourcing to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Design and administer compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Create and implement and maintain performance management systems that drive employee growth and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations and communication.
  • Develop and deliver learning and development programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage the HR budget and resources effectively.

    • The Candidate

    We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences :

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling HR functions in a high-growth startup environment.
  • A strong understanding of all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Experience in the cleantech or renewable energy industry is a strong asset.
