This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for processing requests from government bodies, including garnishments, and requests for information. He or she will also process all requests judicial authorities (courts, lawyers). He or she must therefore examine requests in detail, analyze the types of requests to ensure an adequate response, conduct a search in the various Laurentian Bank systems, prepare customer documents and payments, and communicate directly with the various government agencies or any other applicant. He or she also supports the Branch Network, B2B Bank in any research requests requested, and must respond to customer inquiries about products administered at LBC or its subsidiaries, while consistently providing a superior level of customer service. He or she is also responsible for producing and updating reports.
Responsibilities
- Gathering information, pulling files and documents in response to requirements to provide information received from clients, government agencies, regulatory bodies, law enforcement entities, court order etc.
- Processes Public Curator payments and gels du fonds requests
- Process remittance requests (PTR, Revenu Québec and CRA), requests for information (RFI), enforcement notices (EN) according to bank standards and deliver customer information to the appropriate government agency.
- Process production orders, subpoenas, attorney requests in accordance with service level agreements and Bank procedures.
- Serve as 1st point of contact for government agencies for all inquiries related to government requests, the Public Curator and court orders.
- Liaises with internal (branches, operations, etc.) and various external (law enforcement, government agencies, external requestors) parties as required to fulfil information requests and to ensure all requirements are delivered
- Consolidate statements for all types of banking products.
- Contribute to the accurate tracking of files for management reporting.
- Research and respond to inquiries from external clients and internal business partners such as branches, legal affairs.
- Prepares various documents (letters, memos, reports, computer files) within very short deadlines and using different sources.
- Submits recommendations to improve work processes.
- Carry out any similar or general tasks as requested by direct managers or required in conjunction with department functions.
