The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Director of Engineering will also participate in larger company decisions and strategic planning.Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage the engineering department with a knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with company goals and objectives.Oversee the design, development, and testing of new products and technologies.Ensure all engineering projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Harness harmonious communication and collaboration with other departments, including sales and production, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the engineering team.Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure Motrec International remains at the forefront of the industry.Participate in executive leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide strategic decisions.Foster a "get the job done" mindset and culture within the engineering teamQualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.Proven experience managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.Strong organizational and project management skills.Experience in the electric vehicle or industrial vehicle industry is a plus.Driven leader with a proven ability to foster a "get the job done" mindset and culture.Bilingual ( French / English ) Perfect 5 / 5 command of both languages ( spoken and writren ).Lead a team of engineers, technicians, designers and draftsmen.
