Position Summary : The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic partner to the President and leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities, driving financial strategy, and ensuring fiscal health. This role demands a highly skilled and experienced executive with a deep understanding of corporate finance, investments, and operational management in a fast-paced environment. The CFO will also be responsible for handling all financial aspects of the holding company and its subsidiaries, including tax compliance, cash flow management, and financial reporting. This multifaceted role provides overall management participation though an emphasis on strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight, with the ability to manage diverse financial functions while driving the overall financial health and success of each business and holding company.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Planning and Analysis :
Develop and implement financial strategy across all companies, aligning with overall business goals.
Create and manage budgets and financial forecasts for each company, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Fully understands financial information and build the narrative around them
Financial Reporting and Compliance :
Overall preparation and presentation of consolidated financial statements, and standalone financials for holding company : income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for all companies.
Ensure all companies adhere to relevant financial regulations and tax laws in a timely
Cash Flow and Funding Management :
Monitor and manage the cash flow for each company, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations, growth initiatives and cash distributions to investor.
Secure financing and manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Operational Oversight :
Oversee cost-reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements across all companies.
Standardize financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy (currently on QuickBooks).
Ensure each subsidiary provides regular financial reports and conduct financial consolidations at the holding company level.
Team Leadership and Development :
Lead and mentor the finance teams across all companies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Hire, train, and retain skilled financial personnel as needed, ensuring each company has a competent finance team.
Performance Management :
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each company, comparing performance against industry benchmarks.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making across all companies.
Communicate financial performance and strategic plans to stakeholders, including investors, board members, and employees for all companies.
Identify and leverage synergies across the companies to drive collective growth and efficiency.
Tax Planning and Compliance :
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiencies liabilities for each company.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations across all companies.
Qualifications :
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required
Proven experience (10+ years) in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the aerospace or related industries.
Strong expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, and investment analysis.
Demonstrated success in M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
