Job Description

Altis Recruitment is assisting one of our top clients in the manufacturing industry with an exciting search for their next Chief Financial Officer.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial reporting.

The CFO will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth, improve profitability, and enhance shareholder value.

The CFO will also be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 accounting professionals and ensuring that financial operations are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and maximize shareholder value.
  • Lead investor relations from the finance perspective
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to the executive team and board of directors, responding to any key issues raised.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate working capital and financing arrangements are in place to support the company's operations and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes, including MS Dynamics, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the construction manufacturing industry or related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience managing financial operations in a small to mid-sized business environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executive management, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Solid leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics or similar ERP systems, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
