We are looking for a Qualified Aviation Machinist / Rolls Royce M250 Gearbox Specialist. The candidate will assume responsibility for the M250 Gearbox machining department.
You must currently be authorized to work in Canada. Include in your cover letter a detailed description of the type of machining that you have completed in the past year.
Education : Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) : Machinist Trade Certification; Machinist Red Seal Endorsement.
Experience : 5 years minimum
Specific Skills :
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables and other written instructions.
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools.
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
- CNC VMC experience an asset.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Use measuring tools such as Micrometers and Verniers.
- Understands and abides by safety policies and procedures.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Mature with a positive attitude.
- Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Equipment and Machinery Experience : Milling machines; Engine lathes; CNC machines.
Security and Safety : Bondable; Criminal record check will be required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment; Attention to detail.
